2: Save WhatsApp Voice Messages with iCloud
Another method you can make use of to save WhatsApp voice messages is by using iCloud. This is a really simple method as you can also make the backup of your WhatsApp messages automatic. If you would like to save WhatsApp voice messages with iCloud follow these simple steps on your iPhone:
- Step 1: You will first need to open the Settings app on your iPhone and then click on iCloud.
- Step 2: Once you have done that tap onto the iCloud Drive button and turn it on (assuming it is turned off).
- Step 3: Then scroll through the list of applications and make sure that WhatsApp is turned on.
- Step 4: Now you will need to close your settings app and open your WhatsApp app.
- Step 5: Now that you have opened your WhatsApp app tap onto Settings, then tap onto Chats and then onto Chat Backup.
- Step 6: Once you have clicked onto chat backup then tap onto Back Up Now. This will back up all your WhatsApp chat messages.
This process is really straight forward. The only downfalls linked with this method is that users have a limit on how much storage space they have on iCloud.
3: Save WhatsApp Voice Messages with email
The third solution I will be explaining is how you can save WhatsApp voice messages by using your email. This method is simple however extremely time consuming. You cannot download all your voice messages at once, you have to download each voice message individually. However, if you would like to only save one voice message this method is for you. Follow these simple steps below:
Step 1: Open WhatsApp Web on your desktop/laptop. Once you have opened WhatsApp Web click on the chat that you would like to save WhatsApp voice message from.
Step 2: Navigate yourself to the voice message within that conversation that you want to save. Then you will need to hover your mouse over the voice message for a while until it shows a little triangle icon found at the upper right corner of the voice message. Once you can see the little triangle (drop down button) choose "Download" from the drop-down list.
Step 3: You will then need to specify the output folder you want to save your voice message to and click “Save” to download that WhatsApp voice message.
Step 4: You can then navigate yourself to the folder that you request your WhatsApp voice message to be saved to and you will be able to listen to it there.
This article outlined 3 free methods to save WhatsApp voice messages on iPhone. The first method is the most convenient as you do not have a limit on storage (such as the option with iCloud) and you do not have the limitation of having to save each voice message individually (such as the email option). Regardless of the method you choose, I suggest you backup your WhatsApp messages regularly and make a habit of storing your data securely.
